I went nowhere on Summer vacation...

I have hooked myself on two new shows. I guess I'm an easy catch, so it's no big surprise, but damn... House and Veronica Mars. House I love because I love the characters, and I didn't even think I was getting in to VM at all until... well... Logan. And the LoVe. And what can I do? There is nothing like a hopeless ship to make me need to watch more. It's funny, because what keeps me with VM isn't the characterization. I don't care about Veronica or Weevil and especially not Duncan (soooo boring). And it isn't the plot of the week, because those are usually so high school. But damned if the over arching plot didn't keep me around. I feel like I prefer individual House episodes to individual VM episodes, but as a season VM kicks ass.

So the thing: I can't really afford either boxed set. I'm poor. I by no means can buy both, so don't even ask. But I also can't vid with .avi files, and need to rip .mpg. So basically, if I buy one, I vid it. The one I don't buy, gets nothing. If I vid House it will be a character study of House to some solid classic rock, and if I vid VM it will be something more recent, and it will probably be Veronica and Logan centric. Oh, and you can click the SV button, but your vote will be ignore. Seriously.

Nope. Don't know why I offered SV, because it's really only a question of which boxed set I should buy. SV isn't so much a serious option. I still have Oz and can vid at my leisure. I just haven't been in the mood. But I do have a song and concept on deck. Hopefully I'll get around to it.

[tears running down my cheek]

Smallville's not really an option? Someone's suggested renting. That sounds like a great idea. Or maybe the local library. Ours has all of season one and several of season 2.

What about renting the dvds? Would that work? Then you could do both. I think House will probably be around longer, so you might want to vid VM now and do House during a later season.
